Gwenpool, whose real name is Gwendolyn Poole, is a Marvel Comic character from the Modern Age of comics. She first appeared in Howard the Duck #0 (Variant Cover) in November 2015.

Gwendolyn Poole is a comic book enthusiast from the "real world" who somehow found herself inside the Marvel Universe. This gives her a unique perspective, as she's aware of comic book tropes and storylines.

Unlike other characters named "pool" she is not related to, nor possesses similar powers to, Deadpool. Instead she leverages her meta-knowledge of comics to fight crime. Her abilities also include a degree of reality manipulation that she uses to her advantage within the comic book narrative.
